OMNIPOTENT GOD
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, Is anything too hard for me? Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding is beyond measure. (Jer. 32:27; Psalm. 147:5)
There is a situation a child of God would find him/herself; problems and battles he/she would encounter, so hard, tough, trying, and turbulent that he/she begins to doubt who God says He is, and questions the reality of His powerfulness.
Sarah went into such situation. (Gen. 16:1-4; 18:11-13). And perhaps you are in such situation this morning; doubting the powerfulness of God because of your challenges.
God has directed me to tell us that He is yet Who He said He is. He is THE OMNIPOTENT GOD. He told Sarah that there is absolutely nothing that He cannot do (Gen. 18:13). Job declared about God, “I know that thou canst do everything... (Job 42:2). Prophet Jeremiah similarly acknowledged that there is nothing too hard for God to do. (Jer. 32:!17). Jesus responding to the query of His audience said, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26). Angel Gabriel told Mary, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37). In his revelation John wrote, “ ...Alleluia: for the Lord God Omnipotent reighneth.” (Rev.
Our God is OMNIPOTENT! It is a combination of two words: “omni’, meaning all, everywhere, totally; and “potent”, meaning physically powerful. Our God is POWERFUL! He is so powerful anywhere, anytime, to and for anybody. He is ALMIGHTY; mightier than all.
Let us see this morning the show of God’s power in Egypt.
THE BATTLE LINE DRAWN
God introduced to Pharaoh, and His intentions made clear to him by Moses. (Ex. 5:1).
Pharaoh’s opposing and rivalry response. (Ex. 5:2).
Moses and Aaron’s subsequent plea to Pharaoh. (Ex. 5:3).
Pharaoh’s wicked directives. (Ex. 5:4-21).
God’s battle-ready words to Moses. (Ex. 6:1; 7:1-3).
I am sorry for any Pharaoh in your life, in your family and in your job, who foolishly goes drawing a battle line with God and contesting with Him for a show of power. That pharaoh is in danger!
