SUNDAY SERVICE 15TH NOVEMBER 2015

EZEKIEL; GOD’S RESTORATIVE
 INSTRUMENT

“So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon  their feet, an exceeding great army” Ezk. 37:10

Our life pathways, even as Christians are full of bumps. We are confronted with challenges, troubles, trials. We live in the world of irony; where Christians cry daily and shed tears. If it is not sickness and disease, it is job failure and financial destitution. Some of us are living very dried lives; lives without the hope that things will ever get better. That was the same situation the Israelites were confronted with while in captivity in Babylon. Like unburied skeletons, the people  were in a state of living death, pining away with no end to their judgement in sight. They thought their hope was gone and they were cut off forever. The surviving Israelites felt their national hopes had been dashed and the nation had died in flames of Babylon’s attack with no hope of resurrection.  It is in view of such situation that God called prophet Ezekiel for partnership; to be His VOICE for the restoration of the people.  Similarly, you can be a partner with God today: to prophesy, over those dry lives;  Resurrection and Restoration are Possible!
I. GOD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EZEKIEL {Ezk. 37:1-10}
    A. The Challenge God Was Invoved
        1. The hand of the Lord upon Ezekiel
        2. Carried out  in the Spirit of the Lord
        3. Set down in the midst of the valley full of bones
        4. Caused to pass by them round about for proof
             a} They were very many
             b} They were very dry
        5. Asked the question man has no answer for.
             a} Can these bones live?
             b} Is there hope for the hopeless?
             With God all things are possible. Restoration is
             sure. Resurrection is realizable! Questions are
            answered
        6. Directed to do one thing - “prophesy upon...”
 For Ezekiel, his job was simple: to speak forth the Word
    of God; the Word of Faith, the Word that is sure and
 infallible. The Word full of power. The Word that creates and recreates. The Word that makes changes possible.
         7. Ezekiel to prophesy, God to bring to pass
             a} Breath will enter into them and they will live
             b} Sinews will come upon them and they will live
             c} Flesh will come upon you, and cover your skin
         With God, total, complete, perfect and wholesome
         transformation is assured and guaranteed.
        8. Ezekiel’s two time’s declarations. Each had very
            crucial role to play. The first was followed by  a
            noise, a shaking, and bones coming together, bone
            to his bone. Sinews and flesh came upon them, but
            there was no breath The second time was to the
            wind, a symbol of the Holy Spirit of God. That
            caused breath come upon the bones, and they lived
  B. The True Picture Were The Israelite Captives
       1. The bones are the whole house of Israel. To them,
             their bone were dried, and their hope was lost.
       2. God promised to open their graves and bring
              them up out
       3. God will place His Spirit in them and they will
              live.
       4. They shall be brought back to their own land
       5. The will know that the Lord spoke it and perform it
II. GOD CAN PARTNER WITH YOU {Ezk. 37:11-14}
    A. It Depends On Your Relationship With Him. Are
           you born again?
    B. It Depends On The Strength of Your Faith? “All
         things are possible to them that believe”  Do you
         believe? {Matt. 21:22; 17:20; Lk. 17:6}
   C. It Depends On The Height Of Your Courage And
        Boldness. By Peter’s courage and boldness he
        walked on the water. {Matt. 14:27-29}
   D. It Depends On The Degree Of Your Holiness.
       Without holiness, no eye shall see God. {Heb. 12:14}
   E. It Depends On The Depth Of Your Prayer Life.
       Daniel’s  prayer life made him a wonder to the lions.
        {Dan.6:7-24}, Elijah’s caused drought {1 Kgs. 17,18
   F.  It Depends On The Word You Speak Forth. It was
        not  Ezekiel’s words that he was told to speak, but
       the Word of God. The Word that cannot be broken.
Friends, let us rise today and take a stand against our
 challenges. With God, you and I, miracles are possible, our troubles can be troubled, our mountains are
  movable. We can come out of  our lions’ den unhurt.
